WHAT IS BATAK? The word BATAK derives from the two words 'BAT' and 'ATTACK' First generation BATAK machines had 48 target lights and were played with a special Foam tipped Racquet. These early machines were used in National Sports Centres as well as the Wimbledon L.T.A. U.K. Tennis Tournament, proving enormously popular. Smaller versions were often used in promotional work both here in the U.K. and also Internationally. Mercedes Benz, for example, used one of these machines in their (A.T.P) Association of Tennis Professionals Worldwide Tennis sponsorship tour. BATAK PROFESSIONAL is our Flagship product specifically designed to improve reaction, hand eye co-ordination and stamina by enabling sportsmen and women to train under simulated 'sports like' conditions, whilst also providing an element of fun and competition often lacking in training. Twelve visually bright LED cluster targets are numbered and arranged in a 'maximum stretch' type configuration and put under the control of a dedicated microcomputer. The targets may be lit up in random or repetitive ways with differing time durations as determined by the program. The number and arrangement of Targets does vary depending on the BATAK product.
